Turbos and Superchargers

Turbos and superchargers deliver the ultimate power for any engine size. When forced induction is used, all the variables used in designing the engine shift and need to be redefined. Turbo and supercharged engines typically need lower compression ratio, up rated fuel injection, additional engine management features, different rod ratio and pistons.

As the engine out put is higher, the balance of the engine must be perfect. It must have strength and lightness. All aspects of the engine require thorough review to deliver performance and reliability.
We have huge experience of forced induction. Just a few of the highlights are :

Now you could say.."Now that is what you call a turbo !!!"

The turbo or supercharger itself needs to be correctly matched to the engine. We do this by matching it to the measured inlet & exhaust flow of the engine and the intended application. Often we specify a custom made turbocharger for this purpose. Many of our gas flowed cylinder heads are designed specifically for turbos. With special emphasis on exhaust flow which makes the turbo more responsive with far less lag.

Where an engine is already turbocharged or supercharged we can provide full reconditioning or up rating for any application (Rally, circuit, drag racing or fast road).

Likewise, where an engine is normally aspirated we can add forced induction (turbo or supercharger) to that engine and make the other required modifications to make it match your requirements. Again, the engine can be put through the entire development lifecycle making sure the engine is designed properly to cope with forced induction.
