Bespoke
The keyword here is ÓBespokeÔ. Each engine we build is different (unless we are specifically asked build identical engines). Generally speaking, we don't offer off the shelf, fixed specification engines, at a fixed price with a shopping list of trendy named components.
Each engine is individually designed to meet your requirements. If you are looking at a new race engine or improving an existing engine, we discuss requirements with you to establish exactly what you want to achieve, what issues you may currently have and what can be done within budget.
- Engine performance enhancement (More power or better power)
- Engine Repair.
- Problem diagnosis.
- Periodic or end of season rebuild.
- Engines to meet rules of your race series.
- You may be looking for the best engine/modification within your budget.
- New engines built to achieve pre-specified performance targets.

Development Lifecycle.
When building or modifying a race engine we follow a well defined process starting with requirements specification.
- Specification - what you want to achieve
- Design Process - Our proposed solution for the requirement
- Manufacture - using state of the art CNC engineering and the best components.
- Build and Configure - Assemble the engine and configure on our Dyno
- Deliver - Install (if required) and support throughout your race season.
Decisions on all components and modifications are based on
- 20+ years of race winning engine building experience
- sound accurate measurement of fundamentals.
- proven simulation techniques to aid design.
- Superb quality control achieved with CNC engineering techniques.
- Thorough testing to prove design and configure correctly.
Whether we are building an engine from scratch or carrying out rebuild/modification work to an existing engine we apply the same methodology to deliver an engine which performs as required by you and expected by us.

Meticulous Engine Build
Sucessfull engine building relies on achieveing incredible accuracy for all the components. This requires specilist tools and expertise. Components of our engines are machined and measured to fine tolerances. This is an essential step in delivering performance, reliability and good balance.
Techniques used include :
- Gas flow measurement.
- CNC Engineered cylinder head porting.
- Cylinder head and Engine Block decking
- Journal honing.
- Bore resizing and honing.
- CNC Crankshaft Balancing.
- Piston/Rod assembly matching.
- CNC valve seat cutting.
- Hand build.
- Dynometer testing and configuration.
The result is an engine which is absolutely as we designed it to be. Nothing like a standard road car engine. Nothing like a simple blue printed engine. A custom engineered racing engine which will perform to specification.
